Austin& partners with New Zealand's most ambitious organisations to recover and lead complex programmes, design shared services, implement enterprise platforms, and drive AI-powered change. From independent assurance through to operating model redesign, we don't just advise, we deliver.
Every engagement is shaped around outcomes. We bring deep programme expertise and platform knowledge to the challenges that matter most to Aotearoa's organisations, from rescue to runway.
Programmes stall. Suppliers drift. Governance breaks down. We step in as senior programme leaders to stabilise delivery, rebuild stakeholder confidence, and drive momentum on large-scale, multi-supplier initiatives, including shared services convergence programmes that bring multiple organisations onto common platforms and operating models. Whether it's standing up a new programme or recovering one that's gone sideways, we bring the grip and strategic oversight to get it moving again.
Independent, senior-level counsel for boards, SROs, and programme sponsors who need an honest view of whether major investments are on track. Aligned to Treasury's Better Business Cases framework and IQA expectations, we provide the assurance layer that sits between delivery teams and decision-makers, with no conflicts of interest.
Helping technology and professional services firms grow revenue, enter new sectors, and position for procurement panels across the ANZ region. From go-to-market architecture through pipeline development and competitive positioning, we bring the strategic playbook and execution discipline to build practices from zero.
Practical AI strategy grounded in delivery, not slide decks. We help organisations identify where generative AI and machine learning will drive genuine ROI, then build the business case, implementation roadmap, and change management plan to make adoption stick. Experienced across government AI policy, the Algorithm Charter, and enterprise AI deployment.
Platform-agnostic advisory across the full lifecycle: from business case development and vendor evaluation through solution design, implementation governance, and benefits realisation. We champion a build-once, deploy-many approach, designing reusable platform patterns that minimise duplication and allow organisations to adopt continuously evolving capabilities rather than buying point-in-time solutions. We've sat on both sides, as vendor and as advisor, across Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, so we know what works, what doesn't, and where the real risks hide.
Redesigning how organisations are structured and how services are delivered, then managing the people-side transition into the new state. We integrate Prosci/ADKAR-grounded change management into operating model delivery so that future-state designs don't stay on paper. From target operating models through workforce planning, communities of practice, and cross-organisational capability transfer, we build the structures that help teams learn from each other and sustain momentum long after we step away.
Every engagement follows a clear arc, from honest diagnosis to measurable outcomes. We embed with your teams, not above them.
Rapid, honest assessment of where you are. The real picture, not the comfortable one. We map technology, people, and process to find where value is stuck.
A clear strategy and delivery roadmap built around your constraints, not a template. Architecture, governance, and change management, all shaped to your context.
Hands-on programme leadership and execution. We stay in the trenches through go-live, managing risk, unblocking teams, and driving pace.
We leave your team stronger. Knowledge transfer, operating models, and internal capability built to sustain momentum long after we step away.
We focus on industries where complexity is highest and the margin for error is thinnest. A decade of delivery across UK and EMEA markets means we've seen the common challenges, and the mistakes, before they reach New Zealand. We bring those lessons learned to every engagement.

Market entry strategy, practice building, and commercial acceleration for TMT companies scaling across the ANZ region. Platform modernisation, go-to-market strategy, and operational transformation for one of New Zealand's most dynamic sectors.
Aotearoa is at an inflection point. Government is modernising, enterprises are consolidating, and the demand for senior delivery capability has never been higher. We believe New Zealand has everything it needs to be a world leader in technology: the ambition, the talent, and the agility that larger nations can't match.
New Zealand's organisations face the same complexity as global enterprises, but with leaner teams, tighter budgets, and a willingness to move fast that bigger markets envy. That's where Austin& thrives. We bring international-grade programme leadership and platform expertise, calibrated for the NZ market, because we believe the work done here can set the standard globally. No bloated teams, no offshore factories. Just experienced operators who understand the work and get it done.
Austin& was founded by Dave Austin, a transformation leader with over a decade of experience across enterprise platforms, government digital programmes, and commercial strategy. Most recently, Dave led a NZ$400M+ ERP convergence programme bringing nine UK government departments onto a single AI-powered platform.
Before that, he built a defence technology practice from zero in less than nine months, playing a key role in the delivery of the UK Ministry of Defence's digital backbone: a centralised data and analytics platform serving all front-line commands. He has implemented enterprise platforms including Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow for government and defence clients, and serves as strategic advisor to AI startups operating in high-trust sectors. His career spans management consulting, bid leadership, programme delivery, and executive client management.
Now based in Auckland, Dave brings that international depth to the ANZ market, partnering with organisations who need senior capability without the overhead of traditional consulting firms. Austin& operates as a lean, high-impact practice: one principal, a curated network of specialists, and a relentless focus on outcomes.
The & in Austin& is deliberate. No delivery happens solo. Every outcome depends on genuine partnership with customers, delivery partners, and the teams on the ground. The & is a reminder that the best work is always shared.
Whether you're scoping a transformation, evaluating platforms, or need a seasoned operator to unblock a programme in flight, the first conversation is always free.
